If I'm a Scientologist, I'm Pissed

With the announcement from Senate Majority Whip, Dick Durbin, that he will hold Congressional Hearings aimed at protecting the civil rights of Muslims, we get another glaring example of why Democrats insist on wasting taxpayer dollars pandering to a minority in this country. There are, by most estimates, one to two million Muslims here in America. By comparison, using those same estimates, there are five million Jews, and 159 million Christians. According to a statement announcing the hearings, they come as a result of the “spike in anti-Muslim bigotry and discrimination” that has occurred in the last year. Has Senator Durbin looked into the bigotry and discrimination the other aforementioned religions have dealt with forever in this country? Where are the Congressional Hearings to ferret out the reason why the Andover Fire Department can’t hang a “Merry Christmas” sign on their station anymore? “Quran burnings, restrictions on Mosque construction and hate speech” are the things Durbin says necessitate these hearings. Is he joshing us? Unfortunately, in this country, there has long been a tradition of bigotry toward those who’s religion differs from yours. It’s ugly, but it’s true. To waste hours of the Senate’s time to determine that there are those who are biased toward those who worship another religion is silly. If Congress wants to stand and support a religion, they should start with the majority and work there way down. I imagine there are a bunch of Scientologists who think that Tom Cruise has gotten a bad rap and would love to testify about it. Yes, we must make sure everyone is free to worship whom they choose in this country. We also (some may believe unfortunately) have to insure that those who want to burn a Quran, or restrict mosque construction have the same rights as the small minority in any faith.

Whoa Boy, Greg- I cannot wait to read all of the "informed" and "educated" comments that are to weigh in on this from Miserable Matt and Spaz! Yikes, to be a fly on the wall in your studio when Troll-Boy starts spewing his viewpoint-

It makes people stupid when they disagree with Greg? I don't think he'd agree, and I'm sorry for you if you really feel that way. Your world must be very small and unhappy. Here's a tip: in order to critically think, you need to be able to defend your opinions in the face of opposing beliefs. If you aren't able to do that, you have faith, not intelligence. So you might then need to change your choice of adjectives to describing Spaz and Matt as "blasphemers", and think of yourself as a disciple of The Hill-Man. Learn how to think or GTFO my internet. Sincerely, One of the "dumb Troll-Boys" that built the fucking page you're reading, you intellectually deficient trog.

More words of wisdom from Greg Hill. I seriously weep for you and your inability to understand the difference between burning a book and restricting the building site of a religious establishment. "Has Senator Durbin looked into the bigotry and discrimination the other aforementioned religions have dealt with forever in this country? Where are the Congressional Hearings to ferret out the reason why the Andover Fire Department can’t hang a “Merry Christmas” sign on their station anymore?" Ummmmmm. Wow. I don't even know where to begin on this one. The Andover fire department can't hang Merry Christmas sign on the front of their building because they are a government funded operation and you know, theres these rules they have to follow because of this (see the constitution and the first amendment). It may be douchey to force them to take the sign down, but it is sure as hell not even close to being bigotry. And to pretend that Christians have to deal anywhere the amount of discrimination that Muslims have faced in this country since 9/11 is truly laughable. Actually, to compare discrimination towards Christianity to any other religion in this country is ridiculous. Not to say that Christians haven't had to deal with some sort of discrimination during their time here (see Catholics) but again, being the majority, you don't really have to deal with the same level of shit as a minority because well, you're the majority. "To waste hours of the Senate’s time to determine that there are those who are biased toward those who worship another religion is silly." Which is funny, because in the first sentence of this opinion, you state that he's holding the hearings to PROTECT THE CIVIL RIGHTS OF MUSLIMS. I don't think anyone who has spent a half hour learning real US History isn't aware that there are people in this biased toward other religions. The purpose of the hearing, again is to ensure the protection of the civil rights of the Muslim community. And I don't know about you, but I don't find civil rights defense a waste of my tax dollars.

There are two million Muslims today. If they have 7 kids per family, that's 9 million in a generation, like 40 million in two generations and so on. They are on a world tear by virtue of population explosion today for the purposes of owning the polls in 100 years. They think in terms of centuries, not days or weeks like Americans mostly do. And what happens to your great-grandchildren when the freedoms we enjoy today have to be spoken of in hushed tones at home, after they take their mandated burkas off after school and settle in with their family to talk of the good old days. Tollerance of something intollerant will lead to not having a choice eventually.

i am for the mosque not being built on the sight of the twin towers as i feel this place should be a memorial to those who lost their lives in the towers and trying to rescue people and should not have any aspect of a single religion involved as their would have been many different religions in the towers

So wait, Westboro Baptist Church is allowed to spew their bile and hatred yet when people use their protected right to free speech against the Muslim religion, that is considered wrong and we have to waste tax payer money and time to talk about it? If they have a hearing on what Westboro is doing then I can see Congress having one for Muslims.

HILLMAN: SO LET ME GET THIS STRAIGHT: YOU ARE SERIOUSLY COMPARING THE HATRED THAT IS PROPAGATED TOWARDS MUSLIMS, MOST OF WHICH COMES FROM BIGOTS LIEK YOU AND YOUR MINDLESS SYCOPHANTS, TO WHETHER OF NOT FIREFIGHTERS IN ANDOVER CAN HANG CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS? FIRST OF ALL, WHETHER OR NOT TO DISPLAY DECORATIONS IS A CHOICE. THE REASON THE REASON THAT THE HANGING OF WREATHS, TREES,ETC CAUSES SUCH AN IDIOTIC CONTROVERSEY EVERY YEAR IS BECAUSE IDIOTS LIKE YOU, WHO DON'T KNOW THE FIRST THING ABOUT DIVERSITY, PUT UP A STINK WHEN OTHER RELIGIONS WANT TO DISPLAY THEIR HOLIDAY DECORATIONS. I AM NOT RELIGOUS BY ANY STRETCH OF THE IMAGINATION, BUT THE TRUE MEANING OF CHRISTMAS IS JESUS' BIRTHDAY, AND I AM PRETTY SURE THAT JESUS WOULD NOT HAVE A PROBLEM WITH OTHER RELIGIONS HANGING DECORATIONS IN HONOR OF HIM. IT IS ALO TOM CRUISE'S CHOICE WHETHER HE WANTS TO GO ON TALK SHOWS AN DEGRADE HIMSELF, IN THE NAME OF HIS RELIGION, ONE WHICH EVEN HE CAN'T FULLY EXPLAIN. MUSLIMS HOWEVER, HAVE TO DEAL WITH THE FACT THAT IGNORANT BIGOTS SUCH AS YOU AND YOUR FOLLOWERS, JUDGE THEM BASED ON HOW THEY LOOK, HOW THEY PRAY,ETC. YOU SIMPLY FEEL THAT EACH AND EVERY MUSLIM IS A TERRORIST, SENT HERE TO KILL US ALL, YET YOU ARE TOO STUPID AND BIGOTED TO REALIZE THAT TIMOTHY MCVEIGH ,AND AMERICAN CITIZEN, COMMITTED ONE OF THE WORST TERRORIST ACTS IN HISTORY, ON HIS OWN PEOPLE NO LESS.

RUBBLE FRAUD: Yikes, to be a fly on the wall in your studio when Troll-Boy starts spewing his viewpoint ...I SEE THAT THE PARANOID, SELF-IMPORTANT "SUCCESSFUL BUSINESSMEN", WITH SOMETHING TO HIDE, AND WHO POSTS UNDER A PUSSY-WHIPPED NAME LIKE "B.RUBBLE", HAS CRAWLED OUT OF HIS CREVICE. HE MUST BE READY, ONCE AGAIN, TO DEMONSTRATE THAT HE CAN COME UP WITH NOTHING BETTER THAN INFANTILE NAMES LIKE "PASTY-FACED MAMA'S BOY". OH, AND I FORGOT TO MENTION THAT "RUBBLE" IS BUDDIES WITH SOMEONE THAT WISHED CANCER ON ALL LIBERALS, YET "B.RUBBLE", IS TOO MUCH OF A COWARD TO ADMIT THIS. YOUR TIME WILL COME

Matty-Boyo- Reading your "posts" reminds me of an addled-brain individual attempting conversation at a debate... Much like bringing a knife to a gun fight. Give it up- you're no match and you're irrelevant... However it is entertaining in a twisted sort of way to see your weak and listless attempts at this: Kind of like watching a Chimp sitting at a Typewriter... A for effort; F for results. I Remain- Rubble.

"The person they represent me to be not only does not exist but could not possibly exist." (Bernard Shaw) Such I believe to be the nature of the representation of Gods in their various incarnations and associated interconnected human entities deemed to be their respective representatives on earth. Religious text continues to infect the human mind with imaginings and resultant actions which continue to spread terror and suppression amongst adherents as well as non-adherents in the rest of humanity. Whatever good Religions purport to deliver are swamped by their vilification of other. It would be of great convenience for humanity if such vilification, as Plato rightly recommended , were removed from Religious text and informing the nature of new citizens. For such text informs evil actions. Particularly since the cost of adherence and devotion to various Deities can be quite high for diligent adherents who wish to maximize the return on their investment of time and in the case of women humiliation and subjugation relative to men. Which is why women can be the most ferocious in their demand for the heads of non-adherents as their sacrifice are clearly much more than males within the same religious entity. In fact the nature of women’s place within religions would lead one to surmise religions were in fact created by Man to subjugate women. Not being able to justify such a state rationally Man derives the irrational notion of God to achieve the required result. It is rather a sad absurdity women at times become the most vocal defenders of such a state. Shaw chastens our 'morals with ridicule' and laughter results, with religion it is done with fear and demonizing other for grievous harm either on this earth or beyond or more than likely alas both given the purposeful actions of adherents. Why was it Plato thousands of years advised, No, more insisted, "..a superintendence over the authors of fables" (related to Gods and associated Heroes(associated human entities))? It was because Plato realized as do psychologists and educationalists today such fables repeated by "nurses and mothers (teachers, guardians,..)..to their children,.. may thus mold their minds with the fables even more than they shape their bodies with the hand.". In other words such text are not benign but opens “youth” imbued with such diabolical notions to an "imitation" deemed as "doing nothing extraordinary if he commits the foulest of crimes," a real possibility. We see today the foulest of crimes committed by Muslims and attempts to do so even in Australia, yet we refuse to confront the actual reason the “fables”, religious text which informs these actions of terror against humanity. Such as text contained in the Quran foundation chapter "THE COW" which vilifies non-adherents so venomously. We abuse those proffering such obvious linkages for what has been known to be true for thousands of years with bigot, racist, etc. Usually such abusive statements are accompanied with the insipid statement which denies the reality of the terror and repeated crimes against other "Even though different cultures have different values and customs, in the end we are all people, with more in common than not.". The facts are our commonality of being human are overridden by the different values and customs where they support vilification and 'grievous harm' derived from the cultures foundation texts informing actions against other. Not to accept this in the face of the continuing application of and attempts of terror in regards Muslims against other defies rational thought. Where if not from the Islamic texts themselves are these imitations of evil textual constructions coming from. To not point out these sources of terror and suppression is contrived convenience and a callous disregard for the welfare of humanity. Are Coptic’s in Egypt to continue to console themselves with such notions "more in common than not" or the Shiite in Malaysia who are considered deviant and are not allowed to be spread because Sunni Islam is the official religion, are relatives of those blown to pieces on a regular basis, etc..? The answer is clear delete the evil text or the terror against other continues.

RUBBLE FRAUD: Reading your “posts” reminds me of an addled-brain individual attempting conversation at a debate… Much like bringing a knife to a gun fight. Give it up- you’re no match and you’re irrelevant… However it is entertaining in a twisted sort of way to see your weak and listless attempts at this: Kind of like watching a Chimp sitting at a Typewriter… AN "ADDLED-BRAIN INDIVIDUAL"? WOW, DID YOU COME UP WITH THAT ONE ALL BY YOURSELF? I'M IMPRESSED! GAY MATT???...THAT'S FUNNY! OH, SUCH AN "INSULT". DIGGING DEEP AGAIN, I SEE. SUCH ADVANCED JARGON FROM AN ALLEGED "INTELLECTUAL" AS YOURSELF. THE NEXT TIME YOU WONDER WHY I CALL YOU A FRAUD, LOOK NO FURTHER THAN YOUR WORDS ABOVE. THE DEFENITION OF "BRINGING A KNIFE TO A GUN FIGHT", IS DEBATING WITH SOMEONE THAT USES NAMES LIKE "PASTY-FACED MAMA'S BOY. PUKE", AS YOU DID IN THE LAST THREAD. OF COURSE THE COWARD IN QUESTION (YOU), DOES THIS WHILE POSTING UNDER A CARTOON CHARACTER'S NAME. WHEN YOU GET SOME COURAGE, AND NO LONGER HAVE SOMETHING TO HIDE, THEN YOU CAN RUN YOUR MOUTH. YOU ALSO MIGHT WANT TO CHOOSE BETTER FELLOW COWARDS AS FRIENDS, BECAUSE YOU ARE THE ONE THAT IS BUDDIES WITH AN INDIVIDUAL WHO WISHED CANCER ON ALL LIBERALS. OF COURSE THIS MEANS THAT IN ADDITION TO BEING A COWARD, YOU ARE ALSO A TERRIBLE JUDGE OF CHARACTER, THEN AGAIN, IM SURE YOU HARBOR THE EXACT SAME FEELINGS AS YOUR PLAYMATE, GEORGEF551 IN CLOSING, AS I HAVE SAID MANY TIMES BEFORE, I'M NOT "GIVING IT UP", AND I'M NEVER GOING AWAY, AND THE FACT THAT THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT THAT, MUST EAT AT YOU. YOU REMAIN, A PUSSY AND A COWARD, WITH SOMETHING TO HIDE

Just curious as to where the concern over taxpayer dollars was when Peter King was having HIS hearings. If there was general angst expressed by Mr. Hill at that time, then I apologize. If not, I'd love to hear/read an explanation.

Meanwhile, Pamela Geller calls for the suspension of the first amendment. Further proof that anti-Islam movement in Europe and the US is every bit as dogmatic and repressive as the felching Taliban.

I like how Entercomm has their lackeys spouting conservative talking points while playing anti-establishment music. As if Rage Against The Machine or Tool has anything but contempt for these dumb bigot jocks. That's ok, you can claim Godsmack as your own. They suck anyway.
