John Podesta, the campaign manager for Hillary Clinton's bid to become president tweeted back in February 2015 that after leaving the Obama Administration, his biggest regret was not securing indisputable truth of the existence of aliens. "1. Finally, my biggest failure of 2014: Once again not securing the disclosure of the UFO files. #TheTruthIsOutTHere cc:@NYTimesDowd"

Now in some of the newly published emails acquired by WikiLeaks, it is revealed that Pedesta received emails from former Blink-182 member Tom DeLonge about the existence of extra-terrestrial beings as well. In one email, DeLonge offered to introduce Pedesta to two individuals who could shed some light on the topic, saying, "I think you will find them very interesting, as they were principal leadership relating to our sensitive topic. Both were in charge of most fragile divisions, as it relates to Classified Science and DOD topics. Other words, these are A-Level officials. Worth our time, and as well the investment to bring all the way out to you."

DeLonge, who left Blink-182 in January 2015, denied that it was because of investigating UFOs. He said on Facebook, "Quitting the band to search for UFOs? Hahaha WTF is wrong with you media... I'm actually talking to Travis [Barker, Blink 182 drummer] about us right now... Never did quit, remember?"

He would later tell Mic that his new life goals lie elsewhere in more than just music. "Dealing with something that's a national security issue, and you're being gifted with the opportunity to communicate something you've been passionate about your whole life - something that has the opportunity to change the world over time - being a small part of that is enormously important for my life path."

"But - Am I currently working with people in the Government? YES. Including leadership from DOD [Department Of Defense], Intelligence and Executive Branch? Yes. Just wait for the documentary before considering ridiculous headlines. Haha...?#? sekretmachines?"
