It’s no joke that Saturday, April 1st is Cheap Trick Day in Illinois—oh, and April Fools’ Day. It’s also no joke that the band has a new single out in honor of their holiday. The song, a cover of The Velvet Underground’s “I’m Waiting For The Man,” is available now.

Cheap Trick always got a kick out of The Velvet Underground and Lou Reed, and they even had the opportunity to perform with the late musician. But you know what’s cooler than performing with Lou Reed? Being ignored by Lou Reed ... at least, that’s what Cheap Trick says. Find out more in this exclusive video with the band!

So how about that new single? “I’m Waiting For The Man” is a solid stand-alone track, and the good news keeps on comin’: They’ve got new music dropping at the end of April!

And, in other exciting Cheap Trick news, the band hits the road with Foreigner this summer starting mid-July in Syracuse, NY and wrapping in early September in Auburn, WA.

Happy #CheapTrickDay!
