MISTRESS CARRIE'S BLOG

If you are sending out Holiday cards this season, can I add a name to your list?

I need a favor, can you add one more Holiday card to your list this year?

Let me introduce you to Senior Airman Kevin "KOB" O'Brien from the 104th Fighter Wing of the Mass. Air National GuardKevin was deployed as an avionics technician for the F-15 Eagles that are in Westfield Ma. (The very same aircraft and Fighter Wing that I flew with in 2008.) Kevin, was diagnosed with a serious brain tumor called, Medulloblastoma.  Click here for more info on this type of cancer. His tumor was removed, and he is on the long road to recovery. He is currently at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital fighting every day to get his life back to where it was before his diagnosis.

Members of the 104th Fighter Wing are trying to get as many holiday wishes sent to Kevin as they can...And that is where YOU come in.

If you can, please add Kevin to your Holiday card list and send him some love and support?

We would LOVE to have bags of cards arrive to help encourage Kevin to get better, and to thank him for his service! Christmas is HIS BIRTHDAY!!!

Please send your cards here! Thank you!

We got this sweet note from his Mom, Betty...

"I would like to thank WAAF and EVERYONE for the support of my son Kevin. Boston has embraced us since we arrived on November 27th. Kevin starts his treatments on Monday and these cards will keep him motivated. Our family thanks you so much! Merry Christmas. God bless you all and God Bless America."
