Smells Like Joan Jett: Nirvana At The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Induction.

Nirvana was inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame last night and there was no fisticuffs between Dave Grohl and Courtney Love.  I was hoping for a crazy pants outburst from Love but she kept it classy and ended up hugging Grohl.  Maybe they were just playing nice for the event.  As far as the performance goes the Joan Jett rumors turned out to be true with her joining the guys for "Smells Like Teen Spirit.  Grohl, Krist Novoselic, and Pat Smear were also joined by Kim Gordon from Sonic Youth for "Aneurysm", St. Vincent did "Lithium", and Lorde(who was born 2 years after Kurt Cobain died) did "All Apologies".  Check out the Jett footage below.  It's shaky and sounds like crap but the Rock Hall won't give us the slick footage until they edit it all down in a month.  But that's Rock N Roll.

Here's the induction speech by Michael Stipe and the acceptance speeches from Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic:
