U2 on Letterman, Night #2

March 4, 2009

David Letterman is giddy. He must have seen the ratings from the night before and ruined his boxers.  I like his comment to Adam Clayton. He is U2's secret weapon and an extremely underrated bass player. He's not crazy technical like Geddy Lee or Billy Sheehan, he's more anchor and low end. He plays what's needed for the song. Restraint is an admirable trait, especially in Rock music, where the show is as important as the music. I'm sure playing in a band with Bono takes a little attention and pressure off.
