If you plan on asking a band like Nirvana to play a fake set, expect it to blow up in your face.

When appearing on a British music program "Top of the Pops," the show had a policy that musical guests had to sing over a pre-recorded instrumental track. Because Kurt CobainKrist Novoselic and Dave Grohl saw the concept of fake-playing as a joke, they proceeded to treat it like one.

The result was Dave drumming out of rhythm, Krist over-flailing his bass guitar, and Kurt playing his guitar like an animatronic robot while singing like Morrissey from The Smiths. Watch trolling at its finest below!
