I'm taking today off, not because I am a Veteran, but because I am married to one. In this time in our nation's history, it's more important than ever to show our Veteran's that we support them and that we are thankful for their service. We all know someone from the Vietnam era who was yelled at, spit on and disrespected because they served their country... 'Not on my watch!' Our generation has the chance to do, what our parents generation didn't do... Welcome home those who have volunteered to protect this great country of ours! Today is a day to thank your family members, friends and total strangers for being brave and selfless. Today is a day to celebrate those who made it home and a day to remember those who didn't! If you have worn a uniform in service to our country, I can say with my whole heart... Thank you! Carrie, I am proud to be a lifelong fan, and even more proud to be a veteran. I spent my time in the USMC from 2003-2007, and ended up with a medical discharge for degenerative disc problems in my back. I wish I could still be on active duty every day ofmy life. I miss my brothers and sisters every day, and miss the military. Thank you to everyone who supports us.
