Here's a nice montage of drug use on recent television shows. The episode of Mad Men where Roger Sterling drops LSD is one of the best. Danny Devito's Frank Reynolds from It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia pretty much nails it. Who hasn't ended up in a talking trash can after taking acid?
I've also had a few moments like the Tony Soprano on Mushrooms scene. Reaching a point in my trip where it all made sense. The meaning of life as clear as a Pharmaceutical Company's Presidential endorsement. All problems were washed away by a tsunami of realization. I can remember waiting in a car in the parking lot of an Angelo's in Hyannis, flying on acid, listening to the Doors, and "getting it" all. I was so excited about it, but at the same time so serene I remained completely still. When my friends got back to the car I couldn't even tell them life's secret...which, by the way...for the life of me...I can't remember.
