On the day Soundgarden's "Badmotorfinger" came out, my friends and I went out and bought it along with some LSD and had a listening freak out party. As the acid kicked it sounded like the album was being played through two giant stadium PA speakers in my friends living room. We were trying to keep our shit together while scrapping our bong for any rezin we could find. Eventually we had a super ball size of black goo to smoke and we all proclaimed "Badmotorfinger" to be the greatest album ever made by humans. Later that night we pushed an old Honda Civic into a city park and eventually ended up with the come down shakes at a shitty diner 10 hours later.. "Badmotorfinger" was the soundtrack to this special night of stupidity. After 12 hours of sleep and some solid food we still thought it was the greatest album ever.
Even now in my relatively more sober state it's still sounds great. I was skeptical at first about their reunion. I was sure Chris Cornell couldn't hit the notes anymore. Thankfully i was wrong. I am now desperately hoping they play Boston soon. I may have a few beers, but will pass on the acid....well...
