Thoughts on the BIG GAME...

-They are calling it the greatest Super bowl of all time. I don't think so. It was a good game, really interesting if you had money riding on it, but why is it better than last year? The Giants won that game with the same amount of time on the clock (35 seconds). Why is it better than Vinatieri sealing the win with a field goal as time expired against Warner the first time? I think this is just NFL hype wanting the last Super bowl to always be the best one.
-I think it was warmer here when I got home than it was Saturday night in Tampa! Temps were in the low 40's at night...low 60's during the day. I think the Superbowl parties must have helped the economy. People who haven't worked in a long time got a paycheck...like DJ Jazzy Jeff, who was providing the entertainment at the Hennesey party I went to Saturday night. No sign of Wil Smith but they probably don't hang much anymore!
-Do you think the "Super Bowl" is what they call Michael Phelp's smoking apparatus?
-I told the story about the guy pissing on Matt Cassel's leg on today's show and it is also in the NY Daily News today. It's pretty amazing! It happened at the ESPN party, which was outside, under tents, and I swear there were about 5,000 drunk people there. This guy tried to cut Matt in line for the port-o-potty's, which were in those big truck rigs that they bring to events like that. Cassel told him to wait his turn and when the guy got in, he rushed the QB at the urinal. I went with Matt Light and he was pretty pissed (pun intended) when that man relieved himself on "The Franchise". Cassel was pretty cool about it, which was surprising but I guess 14 million will buy him a few new pairs of pants!
-Did you know both Jennifer Hudson and Faith Hill were lip syncing? I think the anthem, at least, should be live. I know it's live and billions are watching, but if live is good enough for Bruce, it should be good enough for the others.
-Speaking of Bruce, I know Spaz doesn't agree, but that was hands down the best Superbowl halftime show ever. He is coming to the Garden in April for two shows (tix went on sale this morning) and I bet some people who have never seen him live will be buying tix to go see him now. Clarence Clemons looks pretty good for 68 years old! Although, the frock he was wearing was a little odd.
