The One Ton Burger Sets New Record

A World Record was broken this past Sunday at The Black Bear Casino Resort in Carlton, Minnesota with the above World's Largest Hamburger.  The Guinness folks were on hand to verify this colon clogging accomplishment and called it a "feat of remarkable teamwork."

The 2014 pound, 10ft diameter burger was topped with 40 pounds of cheese, 60 pounds of bacon, 50 pounds of lettuce, 50 pounds of sliced onions, 40 pounds of pickles, and 40 pounds of tomato.  I would have also added about 50 pounds of Jalapenos.  That's just me.  I'll do it when I make my own two ton burger.

In case you were thinking about trying this for the next Family Picnic, you'll need 15 foot steel skillets to cook the massive patty at 350 degrees for four hours.  You'll also need to find a bakery that will be able to bake the bun for 7 hours.  You'll also need a crane to flip it and put it on the bun.

Start renting the equipment now for that first Pats home game.
