The 30 Day Grilled Cheese Challenge: Day 17, "The Jalapeno Popper"

The Jalapeno Popper is one of the greatest bar foods ever. Right up there with Hot Wings and Nachos. This is basically a giant Popper deep fried in tons of butter. Thanks to the listener who texted this in at 97107...well, maybe I'll see how it treats me later before I give thanks.
Make sure you use a ridiculous amount of butter for the bread. You have to spread one side with cream cheese which means you have to decide which one of these you would rather have all over your hands. The listener suggested using canned jalapenos but I went with fresh. Thinly sliced and left the seeds for extra heat. Dump a handful of cheddar on top with a spoonful of salsa and cover. Let the bread fry in the butter until it's all brown. Careful with that first bite because the cheese and juice from the salsa will get hot. You don't want to add to the searing heat the Jalapenos will bring upon your pallet.
