The 30 Day Grilled Cheese Challenge: Day 13, "The Wurst"

So far, in my cheesy Odyssey for National Grilled Cheese Month, this one is my favorite. I have been a fan of Liverwurst since my Father made me try it while still in diapers. And that was just last week!(rimshot) I like to think of Liverwurst as the original Pink Slime, except it's slimy paste like quality is more from it being made with pig livers and fat and less from bleached rotting meat. To keep the Bavarian theme going I used Munster Cheese and Grainy Brown German Mustard. Unfortunately, a dark German bread was not available at 1:30am on a Friday Night so I went with the Italian I had. The key is letting the cheese slices hang over the edge so they get fried up and crispy. This adds a little smokiness and texture. It was pretty damn "WUNDERBAR!"
