In 2008 we saw the equivalent of the Holy Grail in Rock n' Roll... AC/DC, Metallica and Guns 'n Roses all released new albums... I'm surprised that we didn't all explode... In 2009 the trend continues, which trend? The fact that you can't tell what decade it is based on the bands releasing new music! U2 has released the info on their 12th studio album 'No Line On the Horizon' due out on 3/3/09 Also due out, Alice In Chains, Kiss, Iron Maiden, Deep Purple, Anthrax, Megadeth, Lynryd Skynryd and Queensryche. What year is it again? Oh yeah... 2009! You'd never know it by this list! I guess the saying "what's old, is new again" is true! People ask me all the time, 'why do you guys play so much old music'? The answer... Because people love it! Look at the list of bands releasing new music this year... The only thing that hasn't happened... YET... New Zeppelin and Floyd! Could it happen? Why not? Did you ever think the Chinese Democracy would come out? I didn't! What album would you like to see come out in 2009? Back To Blog

Would love to see soundgarden get back together for a new album and tour. Hear that bush was makin a new album cant wait for that.

I think one of the most overlooked bands that could possibly have a new album this year is Rammstein. They have most of the recording done already so hopefully this year they release another good one. Look out for a tour as well here in the good ol' US of A!

not too sure if you forgot or maybe these releases didn't make any head lines but i believe both Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, Tom Petty & Motley Crue all came out w/ albums in 2008 as well
