The shithole apartment reminds me of some places I used to live when I was more concerned with activities other than housekeeping. To me, Gorrilaz videos and music always have an undercurrent of depression and hopelessness. But there are many distractions from that in this video like, the bowl of ears, the reoccurring character who I call X-Face(I'm guessing it's Andre 3000), The Sweat Collectors, Murdoc's decrepit toe nails...
