Bike Week 2009I know it may be hard to believe, but I made it up to Laconia and back without getting stuck in the rain. Of course, I was prepared for it to rain, I had my rain gear packed in my saddle bags, and I was mentally prepared for it to rain, it looked like it was going to rain, but IT DIDN'T! At least on Saturday. A small group of us left around Noon on Saturday and headed up 93 to Laconia. I was trying out my new DOT helmet. I hate wearing the big Kazoo It was obvious from the start that the police were out in force this year! I got passed by a few guys, breaking landspeed records, that ended up getting pulled over a few miles up the road. I had to laugh as I went by! The first stop was the Broken Spoke! Danny Klien's Full House was playing, and Miller Lite was hosting the party! I tried to park in a field next to the Spoke and got stuck in the mud! I covered my friend Nick with mud, since he was right behind me when my wheel was spinning! Sorry Nick! A big thank you to Roy, who ended up pushing me out of the mud, it wasn't pretty! After looking at some cool bikes, introducing the band and doing a little shopping it was off to the Weirs, to cruise the strip and do a little shopping!
The strip was packed! It was hot, sticky and everyone needed to take a shower! That's bike week for you! The strip is a little bit of everything, tourists, locals, hard core bikers and even groups on MOPEDS! A group from Boston rode up 3o+ strong on MOPEDS! These guys had balls! Everything stopped when the MOPEDS went by, people were laughing and pointing, the sound was hilarious! They yelled 'Mistress give us a plug on Monday!' Here you go guys! I didn't know this subculture existed! But, this is what's great about Bike Week, it's something for everyone. If it's too scary for people like the Moped crew to even show up, what's the point? Sometimes bikers are given a bad wrap, and sometimes they deserve it. Stop taking yourselves so seriously, there are WAY more things in this world to be upset over! After a little shopping, I headed over the MS Mt. Washington boat for party #2 with Miller Lite. Tom Kiley was there too, answering questions about motorcycle laws etc. Click here to see my recent interview with him! Pay attention to the U coverage part, I called my insurance guys the next day and upped mine. It only cost $40 a year more, and it's well worth it! Thank Tom!
After set #2 from Danny Klien and the boys on the boat, it was time to outrun the rain! I made it home, dry and covered with bugs! I'm seriously thinking about a detachable windshield... I haven't decided yet! I hate taking a bug to the head doing 70 mph on the highway! It's gross! Thanks to everyone who came out to hang with me this weekend! It was great meeting you all. OJ was found NOT GUILTY in court, and he became a punchline. Of course shortly after he was found guilty in the civil case, and then sent to jail for kidnapping and armed robbery. But, he was a football player?
James Brown died, he was a music legand, but he also beat his wife!

Phil Spector charted new ground in the music business and was behind some of the most successful musical careers, and then he killed someone. Did you feel bad for him?
Did Michael Jackson have a tough childhood? Sure... any child star does. But he also grew up with opportunities that none of us can even imagine. Did his Dad beat him and emotionaly abuse him? Some people say YES! But that is also true of most inmates in most prisons around the country. Do you feel bad for them? It is coming out now, that Michael Jackson was addicted to morphine and they they were trying to ween him off by giving him Demerol. MJ had a private physician treating him with drugs on a daily basis. Just because he's rich and famous doesn't mean he wasn't a junkie! If you or I had a Doc. that was shooting us up, we'd be in jail and the Doc would lose his license to practice medicine. There are people with private Doc's... But the cops call them DEALERS when they get busted!
And what about the kids? Forced to hide behind masks, unkempt, dragged out in public, no 
contact with their mother because she SOLD away her custody. They have never been to school, they are too thin, and no one is allowed near them. Dangling a baby off of a balcony? Sounds like abuse to me!
What about the blatant disrespect of the legal system that he showed during his molestation trial. Showing up late, acting 'out of it' like he was drugged, wearing PJ's, dancing on cars outside of the courthouse... Again, if that were any of us, we would have been IN JAIL on contempt charges!
Let's talk about the molestation charges for a second! He settled out of court for 22 million in a civil case, and then SURPRISE... the criminal case was dropped! That does not say innocent to me. And even if he was innocent, wouldn't you STOP sleeping with young boys after you get charged with abuse one time? Nope, not our MJ... He continued the same behaviour, even talking about it in interviews etc. Sure they said he was innocent in court, but even the stuff he admitted doing is cause for concern! And the worst part, is he never showed compasion or remorse for his actions! A family member was quoted as saying "Â Â You can take pictures of Michael's dick and he's not gonna like it, but once you start trying to figure out how much money he has, that's where he stops playing around"! Â His fans attacked and belittled the families and children involved. Raking them over the coals in the press and on TV. Acting like they were in it for the money! Oh yeah, what kid doesn't want to be known as Michael Jacksons rape victim for the rest of their lives? Yeah, that sounds like fun doesn't it? That sure is worth 22 million! That kid from 1993 had to change his name and move away! But, he's living in a really big house, so I guess he's happy!
What about his FACE? He says he's had 2 operations! Ya, right! He's had more noses that Mr. Potatohead! You can do what you want to your own body, but give me a break! Are we supposed to believe that you look like this naturally? C'mon! When we see other people 'overdo it' at the Doc's office, we think there is something mentally wrong with them! But not Michael? Oh yeah that's right... when you're rich, you're excentric... not CRAZY!
And now, look at the circus... Look at the celebs that are coming out of the woodwork talking about his 'talents'. That he was so gentle, and caring... Paul McCartney even called him a MAN BOY! What about all of the crazy people camping out at UCLA, his house, his star on the 'Walk of Fame' and even the Apollo? They're all just itching to get on TV and talk about their 'connection' to Michael... UGH! It's a circus! Would they still be there if he was convicted? Probably! People are still holding up pictures of Chris Brown on TV and he ADMITTED that he beat Rhianna!
Michael Jackson's abuse and drug habits are no different than most prisoners in jail right now... remember that! I bet the guy that killed his 7 year old on Father's day, had a tough childhood, but that doesn't make his actions ok!
I know... I know... But Michael Jackson wrote THRILLER! It's a good thing that he did, because if he were like us... He would have died be in JAIL!
Axl, are you paying attention? Get out of the house and get rid of your handlers! Just because you wrote Appetite for Destruction, doesn't mean we'll love you no matter what!Am I sad today? Yes I am... I'm sad that Farrah died!
 
 helmets, so for years, I just wore a brain bucket. But, after having a few people that I know crash, some lived, some didn't... I went on a quest to find a DOT helmet that didn't look stupid, I succeeded! It cost me $150 but it's worth it! I had to pull over at the rest area, after the toll on 93 to adjust my non-kazoo helmet. It was acting like a parachute and trying to pull me off of my bike. My neck was killing me. While I was adjusting my helmet a group of young, smokin' hot girls on 'rockets' went by! All dressed in pink and other cute, girly colors... showing off the 'stamps' on their lower backs, my friends tried to catch them, but they had no chance.

Biker Blog vol. 1
Well, I'm jealous of Mike Hsu... He came up with a GREAT IDEA! He found a way to 'get paid' to drink beer... BLOG about it! He's doing 'research'! HA!So, I thought... 'Hey, I can do that too!' You gotta go with what you know right? I asked around... Bra Blog? talk about all of the amazing BRA's out there? Meat Blog? sample different meats and write about it? You know how much I love meat! Mike Hsu suggested BOTH!
Then someone called the request line and said...
"What about BIKES"? PERFECT!
So, I'll try to cover a little bit of everything in my Biker Blog. Just please remember, like with Sports, I am not expert! I will say stupid things, make mistakes, and look like an idiot... But if you listen to my show, you know that already! :)

. Here's what it looked like the day I picked it up with 9 miles on it! Ain't she perty? Well, she looks a lot better now! I added the pipes and bags the day I got it. Since then I've changed the bars, lines, lights, tank, fenders, rims, cables, mirrors, and almost every piece of 'non-chrome' to make it awesome. I also had a custon paint job done by Krazy Kustoms and Thin Air Graphics.
