Today Metallica announced the debut of their Orion Music + More Festival slated to take place June 23,24 in Atlantic City, NJ. During a live stream Q and A they also announced they will be headlining both nights and playing "The Black Album" and "Ride The Lightning" for the first time in the U.S. They also said they hope to make the festival an annual happening and not necessarily keep it in Atlantic City. James Hetfield said it was "every bands dream to have their own festival and invite who they wanted to play." The full line up so far can be viewed here. They also wanted to include comedy and lifestyle features that involved each band members personal interests and be more interactive with the fans. The band also said they named it "Orion" for their late bassist Cliff Burton's composition from the "Master Of Puppets" album.
