Awesome ink LB, but as a US Marine I find it necessary to inform you, Yes, the flag is backwards, proper display of the flag when hanging is to have the field of blue to the left. Look up flag etiquette: "When displaying the flag against a wall, vertically or horizontally, the flag's union (stars) should be at the top, to the flag's own right, and to the observer's left."

Hold a flag horizontal.Where is the union? Now tilt it as if you were hanging it off your house. Where is the union?
