I know that this is going to make some people upset, but I am writing it anyway. Am I really supposed to be sad today? Should I feel some sense of loss, or compassion for a man just because he passed away and because he was a successful singer?
OJ was found NOT GUILTY in court, and he became a punchline. Of course shortly after he was found guilty in the civil case, and then sent to jail for kidnapping and armed robbery. But, he was a football player?
James Brown died, he was a music legand, but he also beat his wife!Phil Spector charted new ground in the music business and was behind some of the most successful musical careers, and then he killed someone. Did you feel bad for him?
Did Michael Jackson have a tough childhood? Sure... any child star does. But he also grew up with opportunities that none of us can even imagine. Did his Dad beat him and emotionaly abuse him? Some people say YES! But that is also true of most inmates in most prisons around the country. Do you feel bad for them? It is coming out now, that Michael Jackson was addicted to morphine and they they were trying to ween him off by giving him Demerol. MJ had a private physician treating him with drugs on a daily basis. Just because he's rich and famous doesn't mean he wasn't a junkie! If you or I had a Doc. that was shooting us up, we'd be in jail and the Doc would lose his license to practice medicine. There are people with private Doc's... But the cops call them DEALERS when they get busted!
And what about the kids? Forced to hide behind masks, unkempt, dragged out in public, no contact with their mother because she SOLD away her custody. They have never been to school, they are too thin, and no one is allowed near them. Dangling a baby off of a balcony? Sounds like abuse to me!
What about the blatant disrespect of the legal system that he showed during his molestation trial. Showing up late, acting 'out of it' like he was drugged, wearing PJ's, dancing on cars outside of the courthouse... Again, if that were any of us, we would have been IN JAIL on contempt charges!
Let's talk about the molestation charges for a second! He settled out of court for 22 million in a civil case, and then SURPRISE... the criminal case was dropped! That does not say innocent to me. And even if he was innocent, wouldn't you STOP sleeping with young boys after you get charged with abuse one time? Nope, not our MJ... He continued the same behaviour, even talking about it in interviews etc. Sure they said he was innocent in court, but even the stuff he admitted doing is cause for concern! And the worst part, is he never showed compasion or remorse for his actions! A family member was quoted as saying " You can take pictures of Michael's dick and he's not gonna like it, but once you start trying to figure out how much money he has, that's where he stops playing around"! His fans attacked and belittled the families and children involved. Raking them over the coals in the press and on TV. Acting like they were in it for the money! Oh yeah, what kid doesn't want to be known as Michael Jacksons rape victim for the rest of their lives? Yeah, that sounds like fun doesn't it? That sure is worth 22 million! That kid from 1993 had to change his name and move away! But, he's living in a really big house, so I guess he's happy!
What about his FACE? He says he's had 2 operations! Ya, right! He's had more noses that Mr. Potatohead! You can do what you want to your own body, but give me a break! Are we supposed to believe that you look like this naturally? C'mon! When we see other people 'overdo it' at the Doc's office, we think there is something mentally wrong with them! But not Michael? Oh yeah that's right... when you're rich, you're excentric... not CRAZY!
And now, look at the circus... Look at the celebs that are coming out of the woodwork talking about his 'talents'. That he was so gentle, and caring... Paul McCartney even called him a MAN BOY! What about all of the crazy people camping out at UCLA, his house, his star on the 'Walk of Fame' and even the Apollo? They're all just itching to get on TV and talk about their 'connection' to Michael... UGH! It's a circus! Would they still be there if he was convicted? Probably! People are still holding up pictures of Chris Brown on TV and he ADMITTED that he beat Rhianna!
Michael Jackson's abuse and drug habits are no different than most prisoners in jail right now... remember that! I bet the guy that killed his 7 year old on Father's day, had a tough childhood, but that doesn't make his actions ok!

You have a right to your opinion and how you feel, undoubtedly but i would think that someone like yourself who is in the music industry would try to reflect on a persons musical accomplishments and talents after there passing and not judge them based on only what we have read in the media. I doubt you had a personal relationship with Michael Jackson or his "so called" victims. So how could you or anyone else for that matter know anymore than what some sleezy tabloid wanted to write or what some other television station wanted to air. No one will ever know the truth. So why dwell on it and bring it out at such a time? Michael Jackson became an icon. He pushed the worlds limits, and dared us to hope that tommorrow could be a better place not only for ourselves but for our children and our childrens children. He wanted us to believe that we could "heal the world", he asked you to take a look at the "man in the mirror". You have accomplished so much and i respect you and i am also a fan of yours from your hometown of good old Leominster, Mass. But i grew up listening to artists music not asking them to defend the decisions or mistakes they made. i ask you one simple question: when you pass... do you want to be remember you for your accomplishments and good deeds or do you want everyone you have touched to talk about your bad decisions and mistakes. In the end it's who we are inside that defines us.... and our day of judgement will come too!

i never said i idolized him... i said he was a great musician and in his passing he deserves that much. Just because he slept with kids doesn't make him a molester. If thats the case then i should be arrested. I've slept in the same bed with kids, doesn't mean i touched them. i never said i agreed with everything he's ever done either, I simple said that degrating and disrespecting him in death is irrelivant. It seems to me that alot of people just want to say he's a child molester or freak when he did other things also. He gave to may charities, founded many organizations that today help innocent people who are neglected by there own countries. We are blessed to live where we do and have people who are strong and proud to serve for our country and our freedom. I have a grandfather i've never met who died fighting for this country along with 2 uncles and yes i do idolize them more than Michael Jackson. But i also believe that music had a profound affect on people and Michael Jackson was an artist who did that.

Screw what this JME is saying, JME obviously didn't follow MJ's molestation trials or even bothered to look beneath the tabloid propaganda into the facts of the case itself. I myself am disgusted that there are people in this country and world that will IDOLIZE A CHILD MOLESTER just because HE WROTE GOOD MUSIC and did "good deeds." Oh, I have been waiting for someone to say what I have been saying! Thank you! I was so pissed off when Larry King was doing a Farrah special and then announced that it will be an all MJ night, Farrah will be mentioned. I have no idea if she was because, I didn't watch that old stiff! I did tweet him and let him know what an asshole he is for what he just did. He even said, Farrah wasn't as big as MJ. What? She wanted to live, she fought cancer for almost 4 years! She is a true hero! As for the others, they are as much trash as MJ was/is... I lived in Santa Maria during his trials, I couldn't get out of my driveway for weeks and had to walk to work because of his antics! I was pissed at the court for not holding him in contempt and I always said, you do not pay people off if you are innocent! He's done it 3 times that I know of, it started with the Dentist that took the money over his kid in the 90s. MJ is a pedophile and kids are now safer with him gone. I use to watch his magical Peter Pan bus drive around Santa Maria and pick up little boys. He had me kicked out of toys R us right before Christmas because he didn't want anyone in there while he was shopping with his bunch of little boys he was bribing! I refused to leave, I was shopping for my Grandchildren! Screw him! Then, he came to my store.. Oh, and let's not forget all the animals he left behind to die at Neverland Ranch (the name alone of his house is creepy!) He took off after his last trial saying, he could never return to his home because of what the DA did to him.. Did to him? Then leaves the country where, he mooches off some Prince until he's kicked out and never gave one thought to all the animals he left behind and told no one about. A vet he use to employ went over to see if they were still there and some were so bad off, they had to be put down! Yeah, I'm real upset that this person is dead. Think of myself only Jackson. Way to go, Carrie. These days, it takes real guts to stand up and say "this is wrong." Because when you do, people will come out of the woodwork to deride you and claim that wrong isn't really wrong, and right isn't really right. So what if the guy molested kids? After all, he made good tunes, so we should just focus on that and not think about the horrible things he did.
Seriously?? That's a dismaying attitude, to say the least.
That mentality goes far beyond Michael Jackson or the music industry. It's a way of looking at the world. It pretends there's no such thing as right and wrong, that everything is shades of gray. But any thinking person can see that's complete crap. If there really was no such thing as right and wrong, then why do we even have a justice system? Why don't we just let everyone do whatever they want and if someone doesn't like it, that's too bad. Nobody can judge, right? When a drunken fool beats his own son to death on Father's Day, don't anybody judge that guy either, because everything is shades of gray. Who are we to judge, right? After all, you don't know every single detail of that guy's life. For all you know, the kid deserved it, right? So forget about all those kids Jackson molested and just think about his music. Who are we to judge?
I'll tell you who we are. We are thinking, rational, intelligent human beings who are capable of looking at child molestation or other forms of child abuse and saying with confidence, "THIS IS WRONG, PERIOD." The ability to discriminate between right and wrong, good and bad, better or worse is the basis for all rational thought. Beena (above) is exactly right, Jackson's good deeds do not erase or even counterbalance the crimes he committed. When people can't even look at a child molester and realize it's wrong, this country is in SERIOUS trouble.
Farrah will be missed. Mr. McMahon will be missed. Those two were definitely class acts. They faced their endings with dignity and courage, and served as an inspirational example to us all. Hoo RAH.

Phil Spector charted new ground in the music business and was behind some of the most successful musical careers, and then he killed someone. Did you feel bad for him?
Did Michael Jackson have a tough childhood? Sure... any child star does. But he also grew up with opportunities that none of us can even imagine. Did his Dad beat him and emotionaly abuse him? Some people say YES! But that is also true of most inmates in most prisons around the country. Do you feel bad for them? It is coming out now, that Michael Jackson was addicted to morphine and they they were trying to ween him off by giving him Demerol. MJ had a private physician treating him with drugs on a daily basis. Just because he's rich and famous doesn't mean he wasn't a junkie! If you or I had a Doc. that was shooting us up, we'd be in jail and the Doc would lose his license to practice medicine. There are people with private Doc's... But the cops call them DEALERS when they get busted!
And what about the kids? Forced to hide behind masks, unkempt, dragged out in public, no 
contact with their mother because she SOLD away her custody. They have never been to school, they are too thin, and no one is allowed near them. Dangling a baby off of a balcony? Sounds like abuse to me!
What about the blatant disrespect of the legal system that he showed during his molestation trial. Showing up late, acting 'out of it' like he was drugged, wearing PJ's, dancing on cars outside of the courthouse... Again, if that were any of us, we would have been IN JAIL on contempt charges!
Let's talk about the molestation charges for a second! He settled out of court for 22 million in a civil case, and then SURPRISE... the criminal case was dropped! That does not say innocent to me. And even if he was innocent, wouldn't you STOP sleeping with young boys after you get charged with abuse one time? Nope, not our MJ... He continued the same behaviour, even talking about it in interviews etc. Sure they said he was innocent in court, but even the stuff he admitted doing is cause for concern! And the worst part, is he never showed compasion or remorse for his actions! A family member was quoted as saying " You can take pictures of Michael's dick and he's not gonna like it, but once you start trying to figure out how much money he has, that's where he stops playing around"! His fans attacked and belittled the families and children involved. Raking them over the coals in the press and on TV. Acting like they were in it for the money! Oh yeah, what kid doesn't want to be known as Michael Jacksons rape victim for the rest of their lives? Yeah, that sounds like fun doesn't it? That sure is worth 22 million! That kid from 1993 had to change his name and move away! But, he's living in a really big house, so I guess he's happy!
What about his FACE? He says he's had 2 operations! Ya, right! He's had more noses that Mr. Potatohead! You can do what you want to your own body, but give me a break! Are we supposed to believe that you look like this naturally? C'mon! When we see other people 'overdo it' at the Doc's office, we think there is something mentally wrong with them! But not Michael? Oh yeah that's right... when you're rich, you're excentric... not CRAZY!
And now, look at the circus... Look at the celebs that are coming out of the woodwork talking about his 'talents'. That he was so gentle, and caring... Paul McCartney even called him a MAN BOY! What about all of the crazy people camping out at UCLA, his house, his star on the 'Walk of Fame' and even the Apollo? They're all just itching to get on TV and talk about their 'connection' to Michael... UGH! It's a circus! Would they still be there if he was convicted? Probably! People are still holding up pictures of Chris Brown on TV and he ADMITTED that he beat Rhianna!
Michael Jackson's abuse and drug habits are no different than most prisoners in jail right now... remember that! I bet the guy that killed his 7 year old on Father's day, had a tough childhood, but that doesn't make his actions ok!
I know... I know... But Michael Jackson wrote THRILLER! It's a good thing that he did, because if he were like us... He would have died be in JAIL!
