The Foo Fighters are debuting their feature length documentary about the run of platinum greatness today at the South By Southwest Festival in Austin Texas. "Foo Fighters: Back And Forth" covers the band from the first cassette demos to the recording of the latest album, "Wasting Light"(out April 12). They are planning a nation wide release for April 5th followed by a live performance broadcast to all participating theaters. But you have to vote to get your city on the list. You can get more info and vote here. The Foos will also be releasing a special vinyl album of all covers for Record Store Day(April 16) called "Medium Rare". Most of the tracks have been previously released like their take on Prince's "Darling Nikki" and the late Gerry Rafferty's "Baker Street". Also included are some curve balls like Joe Walsh's "Life Of Illusion" and Cream's "I Feel Free". Full details can be had here. Yeah I'm a fanboy, fuck you.
