My Daily Observation June 12, 2013

So, I saw this... and thought...
OUCH!!!!!

An 8 month erection???
With quotes like "Wherever the 44-year-old went, his condition got in the way, said Metzgar's attorney, Michael C. Heyden. Retrieving the morning newspaper became a problem. Riding his motorcycle was, too."

and "They suggested Metzgar should have known something was wrong after he had the surgery, when, he said, his scrotum swelled to the size of a volleyball."

I just couldn't stop reading...
The size of a VOLLEY BALL???
How do you wear pants???

So, just when you thought YOU had a bad day...
Think of Daniel Metzgar!

And now that you have THAT visual, I give you

My Daily Observation June 6, 2013

So, I saw this...
And got instantly pissed off!

Once again, if women aren't to blame... It isn't a problem.
Well you know what? F*CK YOU!

F*CK You Tood Akin, you and your whole "The body has ways of shutting the whole thing down" nonsense.'
F*CK you Foster Friess, who is a prominent backer of former Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum, "This contraceptive thing, my gosh, it's so... inexpensive. Back in my days, they used Bayer aspirin for contraceptives."

"The gals put it between their knees, and it wasn't that costly,"

F*CK YOU Sen. Saxby Chambliss who blamed sexual assaults in the military on hormones
and F*CK YOU
conservative pundit Erick Erickson who recently credited biology for male dominance in society
and F*CK YOU Mississippi Gov. Phil Bryant who said working moms are making kids fail in school.

When I was a kid, I was forced to attend CCD classes, and I was kicked out for asking why a woman couldn't be the Pope, and why everything bad in the Bible is blamed on women? These are legitimate questions.
Escuse me while I just trying to figure it all out. If we're too smart and driven we're bitchy and not maternal.
If we're uneducated, and stay at home... we're lazy and don't want to do our fair share.
Why do people criticize Islam for "keeping women down", meanwhile many Evangelicals are willing to blame everything bad int he world on women, because they want more out of life than staying home, praying, and having 12 kids...

We're "physically inferior, but have a higher threshold for pain. We aren't as physically strong, but we're a better shot (or so I've been told by trusted experts)
If we're too young, we're inexperienced, but when we're older and wiser... we're unattractive and deemed selfish and hard to work for.
THIS is what I know...
Our country was founded by men, and up until very recently history, The U.S. and most of the planet was run by men.
But yet everyday all we hear is how f*cked up everything is...
Hmmmmmmm.

And ladies, you don't get off the hook that easy!
Stop screaming for "equal rights and equal pay" and then look down on women who choose not to have kids, or yell and scream and then quit your job because you just can't "imagine" not staying home with your kids. Meanwhile you're talking sh*t about the women who still must or choose to work.
Don't put on lipstick when you drive, if you don't want to be the punch line of a joke.
Don't wear a skirt so short that your sh*t is hanging out as you walk around the office, and then complain to HR when someone looks, or makes a comment.
Stop pinning on Pinterest at your desk, and do your job.

And just when you think the world is keeping you down...
I give you Dorothy Custer!

My Daily Observation June 5, 2013

So, I saw this and thought....

It took a JUDGE to get involved???

Yup, a 60 year old smoker could get a new set of lungs before a child with CF. How is THAT right?
And on top of that...
Why isn't everyone, and their kids registered organ donors?
I know that it's terrible to think about, and the 'what ifs"... but, 'what if' this were YOUR child, OR YOU???

You're not taking your lungs with you!

That is just one of the many reasons that I registered as an organ donor the day I turned 18 and registered to vote!
Those are 2 of the biggest milestones that a person can have...

Voting can help change the course of your life and the lives of everyone in this country, and donating an organ can change the life or lives of others too!

So please, don't be stingy with your organs when you die...
Recycle them!
You never know what amazing life you are gifting to that person.

Click here for more info on registering as an organ donor!

And if you think that this conversation is just too depressing...
I give you this! (WARNING, YOU MAY NEED TISSUES)

My Daily Observation June 4, 2013

So, it turns out that "terrorist Mom" talked to her son, #2, and recorded the conversation so that she could release it to the media. They were under orders by the prison, NOT to discuss the bombing etc, but some interesting info did come out of the conversation.

Did you know that people are actually sending #2 money in prison?
Yup, he's got a bank account and there are actually that many idiots out there that are sending him money.
His mother also said that people have been making donations to help them as well.

If you are one of those people, please do me a favor and punch yourself square in the face as hard as you can!

It makes me sick to hear this crazy woman, who is clearly delusional, go on and on about her "angels"...
I just can't wait to read the headline "Boston Marathon Bomber convicted and sentenced to death".
It can't come soon enough!

My Daily Observation June 3, 2013

So I saw this, and thought we are doomed!

I
s it so tough to eat a burger with your hands? Are you that in demand, and busy that you can't take 2 minutes to stuff your face with fast food that will clog your arteries, and make you fat? I mean don't get me wrong... I love a good burger, but I have never said... "I really am hungry, and would love a burger, I just wish that I didn't need my hands to eat one!"

All you have to do is travel outside of the U.S., to a 3rd world country to see how sad and pathetic it is and what a "first world" problem like "I don't have time to eat a burger with my hands, it would be faster and easier if it could be suspended in front of my face like a feed bag" is.
Is this what we have become?
Are we this sad?

And just when you think the next generation has no hope of surviving, I give you this bit of perfect parenting!

My Daily Observation... May 31, 2013

So, I tried to watch the Boston Strong concert last night, and I thought...

WHAT THE F*CK!?!

One word describes my experience...

BUFFERING!!!

OK, here are my questions and observations...

1. Why wasn't it on TV?
2. Why wasn't local radio offered the audio to air live?
3. Why was Jimmy Buffetts satellite channel the only place to listen to the show?
4. If the concert organizers wanted to deviate from what has become the "norm" for this type of event, and go exclusively with the internet... GET A STREAMING COMPANY that can handle the traffic!
5. Did they really have the system crash with 500,000 people trying to watch? There are 7 BILLION people on Earth, 320 million in the US, and 500,000 tried to watch something and it CRASHED?
6. where were local heroes Staind, Godsmack Aimee Mann, The Cars and all of the other notable exceptions?
7.As nice as it was that Jason Aldean and Jimmy Buffet were to get involved, why did they both feel the need to promote their concerts coming later this year in Boston? Those shows are for profit right? This event is for charity right?
8. Why weren't local TV crews allowed to film inside until after 11pm?
9. Why was Dane Cook allowed to take part in the show, if he was the only one that didn't want his performance on the stream? Couldn't they have just said, take it or leave it? If he wanted to save his new material, why do that stuff? Why not write event specific stuff like Lenny Clarke? I heard he was funny, but I still haven't seen his act, BUFFERING...
10. Why was no one on stage asking for donations to the charity from all of they people they thought were watching the stream? Did they know that no one could see them?

This event, raised 1.5 million dollars in 6 hours. Pretty amazing. And all of the acts had their hearts in the right place, and volunteered their time to take part in it... But, couldn't more money have been raised if it were on TV, the radio, a capable stream, and if they asked for donations? Wasn't that the point of all of this? Maybe I'm just pissed because I didn't see it. (I gave my tickets to my Mom for Mothers Day, and she had a great time), or maybe I'm pissed because it doesn't seem that some of the organizers had the charity in mind FIRST! Or maybe I'm just a jaded bitch who doesn't trust most peoples charitable motives.

Other observations include,

1. It is weird to see and hear Boston music without Brad Delp onstage
2. Everyone still knows the word to More Than Words, and was willing to sing them loudly with Extreme
3. Peter Wolf is still a ROCK STAR
4. NKOTB should never BEDAZZLE Bruins jerseys! EVER!
5. Carol King and James Taylor are rock royalty!
6. Aerosmith still got it... PERIOD!

And just when you thought the cynic in me has won over the wide eyed optimist...
I give you Jeff and Carlos drinking beer!

My Daily Observation... May 30, 2013

So I saw this and thought...
SHUT THE F*CK UP!!!

#2 called her from prison, I guess he can walk now... Unlike many of his victims.
His mother says he is "being driven mad by the unfairness" of the situation...
You wanna know what unfair is, you crazy bitch? Ask the Richard family what unfair is.

She is also still saying that #1 was "killed" even though he is innocent.

DENIAL, party of 1, your table is ready. And by the way, you are sitting next to Crazy party of 1, the family of the guy killed during his questioning by the FBI in Florida. They claim that he was killed "execution" style by our government.

I guess those 3 drug dealers that he helped to kill with #1 in Watertown weren't killed "execution" style...

"All I can do is pray to God and hope that one day fairness will win out, our children will be cleared, and we will at least get Dzhokhar back, crippled, but at least alive," the mother said...

Yeah, you know what? Fairness will win out, when they put a needle in your sons arm!

And just when you think the world sucks out loud...

My Daily Observation... May 29, 2013

So, I saw this...
and thought...

Why are there so many people out there trying to hurt children?
You see it on the news almost daily now!
And, these people never get "caught" and jailed forever the way I think they should be.
They get a few years, in a cell, on a block in a prison surrounded by other offenders just like them! They don't "get what's coming to them" in prison like you think they do. They are all kept together, and there are a LOT of them. And, if something does happen to them, our underpaid and under appreciated State Corrections officers get in trouble and even sued!

So, why are there still so many out on the streets? Who do we place the blame on?
Their parents for making them evil?
Society for not helping?
Who?

I don't put much faith that these people can be "cured" to the point that they should be allowed around children again, one offense is enough for me. So what do you do with them all?
Do they even have any redeeming value in society? I'm leaning towards NO...
Castration doesn't stop anything, they can still abuse and kill without it...
Incarceration is expensive and does nothing to stop the pattern of abuse if they get out.
What's left?
Death? Yup, that's where I'm leaning right now.

And once again, when you think that there is nothing good left in this world,
I give you Jeff Bauman, and Carlos Arredondo at Fenway Park!

My daily observation... May 28, 2013

So I saw this.....

And all that I could think of was...
America, you are doing it wrong!

How can there be people in this country that DO NOT know what Memorial Day is for?
It's disgusting...

Sometimes, people tell me that I post about military and soldier stuff too much on Facebook, Twitter, and in my blog...
Obviously not! Obviously, there needs to be more people "informing" Americans what the hell is REALLY important.

These people should be ashamed of themselves for not knowing, and then answering the questions ON TAPE for the world to see!
Ignorance is not cool, or funny. Not knowing that a National holiday is in place to honor fallen troops who died in service to their country, is just downright  WRONG!!!!!

And just when you start losing faith in society...
I give you Bostonians!

Thank you Boston, for showing me that good people are still out there!

My Daily Observation... May 24, 2013

So, I saw this....
and was disgusted!

Have we not learned a lesson from the thousands of Vietnam Veterans that have been a living example of our previous failings? How can this happen in America? We said that we would never again, turn our backs on our soldiers!?! What is wrong with a society, that cannot take care of those who would die to protect it?!? Is it that easy to forget? Is it because most of America isn't in the military? Only 1/2 of 1% of this country volunteers for service. The rest, sleep soundly under the warm and snuggly blanket. The least we can do is take care of the people providing it.

They aren't asking to be rich, or famous... They are asking to be taken care of, the same way someone on welfare, without health care would be! If Jerrald Jenson were an inmate, laying next to Suspect #2, in Federal Prison he would get better medical care, than what he is getting NOW for being a wounded veteran!

If you don't have anyone in your family that is in the military, if you have no Veterans that are related to you, "ADOPT" Jerrald Jensen, or someone like him, and FIGHT FOR THEM, THE WAY YOU WOULD FOR YOUR OWN BROTHER!

This is what we, as a nation of free people must do... Or, get ready to stand on that line yourself, because when enlistment slows, and how could it NOT with the benefits of our soldiers being cut constantly... We are going to need people, and if no one volunteers??? They will be telling you, instead of asking you!

Demand better from our lawmakers, who you can be rest assured will have fantastic health care, long after they are done passing self serving laws, and helping out their friends in Washington!

WE CAN DO BETTER! THEY DESERVE AT LEAST, OUR VERY BEST!

My Daily Observation... May 23, 2013

So, yesterday THIS happened in London.
And, I didn't know what to think...

So many things went through my mind!

According to some friends in London with ties to the British Army, there was no doubt that the victim was a British soldier, wearing a shirt for a charity that helps injured British soldiers, and close to the gates of a military base. He was hit in the street by a vehicle, on purpose, and the 2 occupants of the vehicle, got out and attacked him. They were armed with knives and a reported handgun. The 2 men stabbed, and reportedly decapitated the British soldier, and then stood around the body, talked to on lookers and even gave a video interview. (Pay close attention to the woman who walks right through the interview, sees the man with knives and bloody hands, and past the corpse in the road, and keeps walking!)

As people were waiting for the police, who were UNARMED, to arrive, A cub scout mom tried to talk the two terrorists into surrendering their weapons. Listen to her story and see pictures here. This lady has brass balls!

When the police arrived, the 2 terrorists threatened them with the gun, and wanted and waited for the "armed police" to arrive. It took almost 30 minutes from the time of the attack for the armed police to respond, and when they did they were charged by the attackers, who were promptly shot by the cops and arrested.

Here are my observations, and mind you, I have to distinct political ties...

I cannot imagine our police not being armed, and obviously strict gun laws don't work when criminals can still get guns, and are out arming law enforcement. This type of radical terrorist WANTS to be seen as a hero, and killed for his beliefs. You cannot reason, threaten, or otherwise intimidate a person like this. They only speak one language, violence, and you better speak it better than they do or you won't survive the argument. I still find it amazing that British troops, who are trusted to fight and shoot for their country overseas, are not trusted with a firearms permit when they return home. Obviously, a gun wouldn't have helped this soldier, as he was targeted with a vehicle first, but if this is a new "trend" of attacking troops once they return home, these poor heroes are sitting ducks there.

And if you think that this is just an issue overseas??? Take a look at this happening right here in the US of A!

With the debates over firearms and Islamic terrorism making the news daily, I just ask that people remember WHO the criminals REALLY are, and treat them accordingly. It's hard to blame people for wanting to do everything they can to protect themselves, and their families.

If you are going to yell loudly about gun rights, you should be prepared to yell just as loudly when someone who is "legal" does something stupid with a gun. And if you are going to yell for more gun control, be prepared to yell praise at a legal gun owner that stops an act of violence. If you are a peaceful Muslim, be prepared to loudly condemn the actions of fundamentalists, and if you are a Christian, yelling about Islamic terrorists and "all Muslims" you should be yelling just as loud at members of the Westboro Baptist Church.

And just when you think that the world had gone mad... I give you the audio of a witness in Woolwich. She says that women, who just happened to be there and witness the attack, were laying on the body of the soldier to protect it from the terrorists who were trying to photograph it. Amazing.

My thoughts are with my friends from the British Army today.

My Daily Observation... May 22, 2013

OK... So I saw this.... and thought... WE ARE DOOMED!
THIS CRAZY ASS BITCH, IS NOW FAMOUS!?!
She is arrested on child endangerment charges for "allegedly" putting her 5 year old daughter in a tanning booth, (the charges were later dropped), and she has been seen in the tabloids ever since, acting like a crazy person!
Now this waste of space and air, had recorded a "song" and released a video.
Beware, your eyes and brain can NEVER unsee this!

Am I the only person that is horrified that THIS is what a celebrity is now?
After the bravery of the teachers in Newtown, the volunteers who saved countless lives on Marathon Monday, and the stories of heroism that are still coming out of Oklahoma right now... THIS is what people around the globe think about America! What is wrong with us?

And just when you think it's not worth it...

My Daily Observation... May 21, 2013

So, I saw this today and I thought....

Help that lady with her dog!

With all of the heartbreak in Oklahoma right now, a camera crew was lucky enough to watch an old lady's second prayer be answered. First, she said, that she prayed to God that she would live through the tornado yesterday. Second, she prayed, that her dog who was in her arms, hiding from the storm in the bathroom would also survive. This poor woman lost everything, or so she thought. She survived and is grateful, but she was looking for her beloved dog, just like I would be, if I were in her situation. And then, like the script of a Hollywood movie, out of the rubble, comes the wet nose of her companion. Her dog is alive!!!!! And the reporter, and camera guy just stand there!
So I say again, HELP THAT LADY WITH HER DOG!!!

I know that "reporters" are not supposed to "involve" themselves in the story... But come on!

If you want us, the viewing public, to have any respect for the vulture reporters that flocked out of Boston, and into Oklahoma...
GET YOUR HANDS DIRTY!

Tell the story from the inside out!
Jump in there and rescue that dog, dig him out, and carry him wherever that sweet lady wants! I promise you, it will make you feel good, and you know what... She may just give you a better interview too! I guess I would make a sh*tty reporter, because I could not stand there, and ask the questions that they ask, and see the things that they see, and NOT jump in with both feet!

I guess I'll just stick to radio!

And just when you thought the world was devoid of human emotion, I give you this!

My Daily Observation... May 20, 2013

So, I saw this... And thought...

You are NOT that hot!

Really? You are so "beautiful" that you cannot keep a job?
It must be nice to have your parents pay for everything, including your rent, cell phone, credit cards, shopping trips, and hair styling. Especially when you are 33 YEARS OLD!

You have a science degree, and you find it hard to work even in a lab, wearing scrubs with no makeup because of your "natural attractiveness"?????

Wow!

Here are some suggestions...

Work online from home so that no one has to be subjected to your ugly... Oh, I mean beautiful self!
Or, work with the blind. They would have no idea, unless your scent and voice are like an angels too!

How about working with children? They don't care how beautiful you are. Unless, you are afraid that you will make the little girls feel bad, for not being able to grow up as beautiful as you!

Drive a truck like I did. You are alone, you get to travel, and you would only have to worry about being confused for a "Lot Lizard" when you stop to get fuel! Or better yet, get into RADIO! :)

Sometimes, it shocks the hell out of me, that these people live in the world with the rest of us!

And just when you think the world is ugly...

You see this!

Alice In Chains, performing with a symphony, covering Led Zeppelin, and for charity!

My Daily Observation May 17, 2013

So, I saw this... and thought...
OMFG! If every person I was "rude" to, plotted to kill me, I'd be dead a million times over.

This is an example of poor and great parenting.
Poor, on behalf of the child and his friend that plotted to kill a girl in school for being rude...If you believe that "nurture and not nature" is to blame here.

And Good, for the parents of the 4th grader who actually saw something (the knife on the school bus) and said something!
Who knows what would have happened if he didn't speak up!

I remember being in the 5th grade, and thinking that the world was unfair, and that I was smarter that I actually was. But, I don't ever remember making a "hit list" and plotting to kill a classmate.

So, if it;s not Nurture at work here, and these kids come from good homes, with attentive parents, than Nature must be at work, correct? And if that is true, is it possible to reverse or correct this child before he turns 18 and is sent back out into the world, where he will find out exactly how "rude" people can be?

Things like this scare the hell out of me, because this kid grew up in America... No matter what you think about our government, our leadership, or our financial climate... It only takes one trip overseas to see how lucky we all are to be born here.  Are we doomed, not only as a society, but as a human race when you see a child capable of something like this?

And just when you thought the world was ugly, I give you this!
A 2 year old, singing Pearl Jam! This is what good parenting looks like!
