In these times of economic instability, election year negative ad overload, and former Pro Baseball Players getting off from charges of Lying To Congress, we are all in need of some straight forward, no bullshit, Honesty. Right? We need something that will never lie, cheat, steal, or try to squash our dreams. There are few things that can claim to be that. Even our various faiths are riddled with scam artists and perverted pontificators. But Bacon, my friends, will never lie to you.
It's delicious, it's fattening, and it's bad for you in large quantities. There is scientific and culinary facts to back up all of that. We often hear the phrase, "Bacon makes everything better". While it may not pay your bills and may sometimes make your heart seize up it will never be anything else but delicious Bacon.(Unless it's turkey bacon. F**K that s**t. The lying Poser of meats.)
Celebrate the greatness of Bacon this Saturday(6/23) at the 2nd Annual Boston bacon Takedown at the Armory in Somerville. 20 local Bacon Lovers are given 15 lb's of Bacon to create their own high cholesterol creation.
