Al Sharpton is without a doubt, the biggest racist on the planet. All of his efforts are put towards promoting and nurturing racism itself. His way of life, his fame and fortune, is dependent on racism that makes it into the media, and if there isn't anything there, he will simply make it up. His ridiculous actions keep the feelings of "us" and "them" alive in all of us.

Sharpton is scrambling to keep his gravy train alive, now that we have a black President. That's got to be the worst thing that ever happened to poor old Al, since now he can't make his living anymore running around claiming America is a racist country full of racist oppressors. He probably sprained something in his haste to find a reporter to whom he could rant with saving evidence that "despite the election of Barack Hussein Obama, America is STILL (thank god) a racist country." Dear Mr. Capital Lettahs, I'm just frankly embarrassed to have you shouting on the left hand side of the fence next to me. Greg is, like many republicans, skewed in his opinions on many issues. I understand that welfare is not for "lazy people" and "deadbeats", but that has nothing to do with this argument. You're making us all sound stupid and disorganized by eliminating your segues and turning off your brain while typing. I believe the point of this little anecdote is that Al Sharpton is kind of a self-involved nut job. This is not, among Republicans or Liberals, a particularly controversial point of view. Sharpton IS bizarre. You don't have to fall on one side of the fence or the other to realize that. The man was James Brown's friggin' tour manager. That is weird, and it isn't a political opinion to state that. And frankly, from my perspective as an aggressive pro free-speech liberal, I think the Hill-Man has it right here, albeit for a skewed set of reasons. Ultimately, I bet to a more forgiving media, Sharpton might have admitted that he hadn't heard the story about the chimp, and just misjudged the cartoon. I just find it depressing that liberal ideals and social conscience are continuing to evidence themselves in the worn-out area of political correctness, which I felt went out of style with Bel Biv Devoe and V-66. Speaking of which - how about that V-66, huh? That'll take you back. But I digest. In closing, not all liberals have to disagree with everything that comes out of the right wing. Ok... Lets see.. where to start.. Is the cartoon offensive, depends on who you ask, My self, I'm not impressed at all with it.. It has different meanings to different people. Wow, so when Matt hears Hillman talk about deadbeats, he immediately thinks of minorities. Yet, it's Hillman who is racist? Interesting. Personally, I thought deadbeats were the ones not paying their bills hoping for a handout. I didn't know there was a race box to check on that form. Also, please give us ONE example of anything the government does efficiently.

Matt - For one - I despise all lazy morons who bilk the system, buy homes they can't afford and knowingly falsify documents so as to secure loans they don't qualify for. These are the people who in part, caused the housing crisis and like Dr. King said many years before you could spew stupidity, I judge them by the content of their character (or lack thereof) as opposed to the color of their skin. Was the Post piece racist? I'm sure lesser minded folks like Matt could make that argument, whine and demand firings, sure. But when it was Congress and not Obama who authored the so called stimulus, its really hard to make that argument stick. At the very least, the cartoonist and editor were BRILLIANT - no amount of advertising dollars can buy the exposure that an irritated Sharpton and his minions (Matt, that means followers) can achieve. Finally, its people like Sharpton, Jackson the NAACP and Matt - yes, Matt, you - who perpetuate racism by crying foul over every little percieved slight. Well, it certainly didn't take long for the semi-literate Liberals to embarrass themselves with their goofy all-caps rants when any 6-year old can plainly see that the cartoon specifically referred to the authors of the bailout bill -- that would be CONGRESS. Not Obama. But figuring out something as complex as that, when it's clearly stated in plain English in the cartoon, would require more than one brain cell, so Liberals naturally can't do it. BTW, the other night on Red Eye they were making fun of editorial cartoonists in general for their penchant for labeling every single thing in every single cartoon, even stuff that's patently obvious or irrelevant. Matt, you mentally defective dingleberry: Do I know them personally? Of course not....but unlike you, I own a home, went through the process and had more than one bank encourage me to do something stupid and or illegal so as to secure my loan. That there were enough banks out there willing to do this and that there were enough people out there willing to play along and falsify documents to get loans is more than enough evidence for me to slam THOSE people for being morons. Wow matty, that dry spell you are suffering from is really getting to you huh? whether somebody has lost their job or not, you are still responsible for paying your bills. I find it intriguing that this Matt fella goes on and on and on (AND ON IN CAPS TOO) about loving everyone and not hating people that you don't know but then considers it okay to accuse someone of being homosexual as a form of a slur. He doesn't like it if someone does not like someone else because of race, color, or creed, but finds it acceptable to not like someone for their sexuality. I'm sure he'll disagree (IN ALL CAPS NO LESS), but he'll have to answer for himself why, when he wanted to insult someone, he alluded to them being homosexual. An interesting dichotomy, me thinks.
