I am still suffering from the after effects of a Gout attack, I have high cholesterol, Type 2 diabetes, and a shitty attitude(for which there is no cure). So what better place for me to be than
The Big E in beautiful West Springfield surrounded by some of the most amazing and deadly food in the Commonwealth. I psyched myself up to take on a level of temptation even give even Jesus the shakes.
I calmly walked by all the London Broil, Steak On A Stick, Corn Dog, and Italian Sausage venders that are par for the course at every fair and festival. Breezing by without a bit of angst even with the smell of delicious burning meat wafting over the Expo. I started having trouble at the Pulled Pork Stuffed Corn Cake stand and felt very week walking by the Big E's signature sandwich, "The Craz-E Burger"(two glazed donuts with a bacon cheeseburger in between). The Deep Fried Snickers Bar was also calling my name but still I abstained like a Jedi. But it was the God Damned Girl Scouts Of America that got me in the end. How could I resist the Deep Fried Girl Scout Samoa? I am only a Man. With needs like any other man. I couldn't stop myself. I must have scared the lady at the booth with my trembling and sweating.
The Samoa is chewy Caramel and coconut drizzled with chocolate. When deep fried in batter it melts and makes the coconut a little toasty. Gooey and chewy melted caramel with extra coconut sprinkled on top. Of course I had to have chocolate milk to wash it down. I hope I live another day to redeem myself with celery. Damn you
